Princeton Pro Musica
Vocal Ensemble
Princeton Pro Musica (PPM) exists to perform choral masterworks and other works of the choral literature with energy, passion, and uncompromising artistic excellence. We believe in the power of choral music to uplift and transform our current and future audiences, performers, and communities.
Now in its 40th season, Princeton Pro Musica features a symphonic chorus, an orchestra, and a chamber chorus. PPM is committed to the highest quality of performance standards, partnerships with other arts organizations, encouraging New Jersey artists, and maximizing the public benefit of all performances.
Over the past several seasons, Princeton Pro Musica has earned nationwide, statewide, and local recognition. In 2009, the ensemble was invited to perform at the ACDA Eastern Division conference in Philadelphia. In 2013 and 2014, PPM was named a finalist in the nationwide American Prize competition community chorus division. In 2015, PPM earned the second place national prize in the community chorus division of the American Prize competition. Most recently, in 2018, PPM had the honor of working with Princeton Community TV to produce a documentary film about the organization, which was titled “40 Years Strong and Still Sharing Great Music.” This film won two awards at the Nassau Film Festival.
Princeton Pro Musica is committed to collaboration with other arts organizations. Recent performances have included artists from Roxey Ballet, Princeton Girlchoir, Trenton Children's Chorus, Princeton High School, Bridgwater-Raritan High School, and The College of New Jersey.
