Recorder players of all levels are invited to the Highland Park Recorder Society's Recorder Playing Session on Monday, February 6 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the Parlor room of the Reformed Church of Highland Park, NJ, 19 South Second Avenue in Highland Park. There is free parking in back of the church which may be accessed via Magnolia Street. ADA handicapped accessible.  

This month's guest conductor is Rainer Beckmann, performer with many professional ensembles, and a graduate of the Utrecht School of the Arts, Netherlands, where he studied recorder with Heiko ter Schegget, Baldrick Deerenberg and Marion Verbruggen. Other sessions this seasons open to all recorder players will be held on March 6 (Lewis R. Baratz), Apr 3 (Deborah Booth), May 1 (John Burkhalter), and June 5 (Maestro Robert Butts).

On Wednesday, August 9, 2017, 7:30 PM, Les Agréments de musique performs works of Lully, Dieupart, Philidor, D'Anglebert and Loeillet, inn an evening of French Baroque music presented by Westminster College of the Arts of Rider University.  John Burkhalter, recorders & Minju Lee, harpsichord.

Join La Fiocco for an evening of 17th century German and Italian music featuring returning guest artist Daniel Moody, countertenor.  With Claire Smith Bermingham & Linda Kistler, baroque violins, Dan McCarthy, baroque viola, Vivian Barton Dozor, baroque cello, Benjamin Berman, harpsichord, and artistic Lewis R. Baratz, recorder & harpsichord.
